The 3 main types of CBD

Like many others, the amount of information that is circulating about CBD is overwhelming and hard to decipher between what's accurate and false. What most people don't realize is that not all CBD is created equally.

It's commonly thought that CBD comes in one form. There are actually three common types of CBD. These are extracted from the hemp plant in different ways to achieve different results and variations.

Full Spectrum consists of the whole plant. Full Spectrum contains a high percentage of CBD but also contains beneficial terpenes, other cannabinoids and under 0.3% THC. The combination of having all parts of the plant creates a synergestic effect also known as entourage effect. The theory that all compounds in cannabis work together, and when taken in combination, they produce a better effect than when taken alone.

Broad Spectrum which is quite similar to full spectrum however broad spectrum typically does not contain any THC.

Isolate is most commonly used. It comes in a powdered form. This form of CBD typically contains around 95-98% CBD and little to nothing else.
